Smaka på Stockholm (A Taste of Stockholm) is the early summer food festival in Sweden. Every year it attracts more than 350000 visitors all with a shared interest in food and drink. To visit us is free until you decide to taste some of the amazing food and drink being served.
During the first week of June the downtown park Kungsträdgården is transformed into a culinary sensation. You get to meet some of the best restaurants, foodtrucks, bakers and local producers.
You can also see performances by many well known artists for free. Around 40 of Stockholm’s most exciting restaurants and food trucks serve everything from traditional Swedish dishes to exotic creations from other parts of the world in the park. Smaka på Stockholm also showcases locally grown produce, organic food and serves as a model for a sustainable lifestyle.
Smaka på Stockholm is one of Swedens largest annual events – despite the big shoes we work hard at leaving as small a footprint as possible on the environment. We, and all participating companies, recycle as much as we can and we continuously work hard to stay at the absolute forefront as being the leading festival for future food.
Initially, this festival was called Restaurangernas Dag (the Day of the Restaurants’), but in 2004 we changed the name to Smaka på Stockholm (A Taste of Stockholm).
Opening Hours 2019: 5 – 8 June 11 am-10 pm and 9 June 11 am-9 pm.
