Alena is a native of Russia and has spent most of her life in the US. She currently resides in Stockholm and is a plant based chef at Rosendals Trädgård a biodynamic farm and restaurant.
Her passion lies in developing and supporting regenerative food systems, with an emphasis on practical menu development in harmony with nourishment and health of the soil. With a focus on plant based and health supportive food, she aims to iterate on traditional cooking methods with new applications and opportunities to engage with the food on the plate.
Initiating and developing projects focused on reducing food waste and upcycling food, she is excited about creating multi-sensory dining experiences and sharing knowledge with others.
She is currently the chef for Experiment 2000m2 at Rosendal, which aims to develop a food culture that respects planetary boundaries and reduces climate impact.
